For Arina, her relationship with her mother, cultural observer Tetiana Karikova, is a story about nurturing a personality and forming her own style. By observing how her mother changed over time, Arina learned the most important lesson—staying true to oneself and one’s principles.
“In my childhood, her hair was medium length, and later she began to discover herself in new ways and experiment. First, it was bangs, and then a bob, which I like the most. In my opinion, the most important thing is the way she raised me, because no one else can replace my mother. It is simply priceless because she raised me in a special way. Her strongest trait is that she knows her worth, values herself, never betrays her principles, and remains exactly who she is.”
The similarity in their characters and tastes becomes even more evident over the years, and growing up brings the understanding of how vital every shared moment is.
“I believe it was from her that I inherited my unconventional thinking. Even our tastes have become similar: in clothes, perfumes, makeup, and hairstyles—it’s really alike. Now that I’ve grown up, I’ve begun to understand the value of every minute spent with her. Her advice and support in difficult moments are very important to me because she points me in the right direction. Thanks to this, I understand that I have a bright future and can achieve my goals. I am sincerely grateful for the life I have now. Taking care of Mom means supporting her in all her endeavors and passions. I am constantly helping her, and I believe it is very precious—to be by her side every minute.”

Pampering your parents is very rewarding. For me, care also means spending time together without talking about work, and keeping family traditions alive, like Easter.
